Painted floors make an attractive alternative to floor boards or wooden floors and as they are bespoke you can commission some very interesting designs. The nature of the boards can remain as a feature or these can be leveled flush depending on the desired finished effect. Structurally there may be constraints in using heavy stone, marble, concrete or metal on the existing flooring. Equally the floor may not be in the desired wood finish so a hand painted faux rendition may therefore not only be cost effective but also beautifully practical.
