Specialist Decoration - Fibrous Plaster Treatments

Our traditional craftsmen are able to restore and repair old fibrous plaster finishes and finely decorate the new.

Specialist Decoration - Fibrous Plaster TreatmentsOur extensive knowledge of paint systems and applications enables us to paint and decorative finish fibrous plaster treatments to compliment their surroundings.

Ornate fibrous plaster mouldings can be made to look even more ornate by the way they are painted and finished. With our combined skills we can depict fine ceiling mouldings in paint finishes, glaze washes, lacquer and gilt embellishments.

Large ornate and intricate fibrous plaster mouldings can be sprayed for time saving, and when skilfully sprayed a finer coat of paint can be achieved as opposed to a brush finish.

The final coat of paint is always hand brush applied when working on period or historic finishes. Our spray systems (both air and pressure) are sensitively used in the creation/application/installation of our finishes without compromise to any of the finished designs.

Our finishes for fibrous plaster include:

  • The restoration of period and historic.
  • Finishes for new fibrous plaster like columns, cornices, mouldings, plaster ornaments, trophies, niches & statues include:
    • Hand painted faux finishes of precious stones & marble (antique & new)
    • Hand painted faux finishes of any woods precious, old and new.
    • Period finishes such as various degrees of antiquing and patinas.
    • Metallic finishes to create solid metal designs from burnished bronze to verdigris copper.
    • Depicting mouldings in different colours and styles of paint, lacquer and metallic pigments.
    • Decorative paint finishes to highlight and accentuate mouldings including shadowline increases.
    • Gilding as a final ornamentation or embellishment.
