We start our Burton house project with the redecoration/restoration of the kitchen area with its high ceilings and ornate coving and working kitchen below. The challenge was finish the ceiling and remove the scaffolding before the spring as the garden is accessed through this area. The finishes included highlighting the ceiling, cornice and ornaments in soft glazes and flat lacquering to finish. The walling was treated to a nuvoloso finish and the fireplace and kitchen canopy finished in a pittura stucco stone design.
