Our first trip to Ireland is to Castle Hyde to faux finish in antique marble the columns throughout the colonnade of Michael Flatley's castle. The columns were new fibreous plaster and needed many layers in order to build up the colour for the designer's required effect. The columns were marbled in small tight pattern and then finally antique finished to create a period to suggest they had lived.
