Redecoration & decorative finishes create the Manor re-born

Date: 1/1/2009

We are commissioned to fully restore and renovate and redecorate this manor house in the Cotswolds. Being a complex project it lasts most of the year. The kitchen was hand painted and distressed in antique ivory and a feature centre island in cooking apple green. The Aga canopy was treated to a stucco pittura stone finish. The main staircase and shutters and joinery were stripped and redecorated in an antiqued painted finish. The wall finishes ranged from nuvoloso to passagio with a pretty stone blocked entrance hall inspired by the original stone flooring. The greatest challenge on this project  was the wooden panelled drawing room stained in Dark Oak. This was stripped and fully redecorated in a light colour to juxtapose with the room's fabrics and the fireplace stone finished.
