The HVART team escape the winter with a commission on the beautiful paradise island of Mahe in the Seychelles to transform a private pavilion into a Hanoi style folly. Starting with the carved wooden ceilings the team set about flushing the surfaces to ready them for a hand painted faux wood finish. All interior & exterior columns were treated in the same manner and then finished in a painted oriental style antiqued red lacquer. The exterior door panel was textured with impasto and faux finished to juxtapose with the surrounding Seychelles iron wood. The final touch was to match the floor to the new scheme, this was finished courtesy of our colleague Bob the wood flooring expert.
